“Thank you.” Like most Irish, she dropped the h, and it came out “tank.”
Everyone else (excluding Jasper obvs) only remembers they're English if the author does, otherwise this is just another US characters in Britain fanfic.
Emily, however, is essentially a walking Irish stereotype. The text does not hesitate to mention that Emily is Irish and she speaks in an Irish way.
